Learning Journey to Kampong Glam

Dear 3B,
I had great fun on our first fieldtrip together today! I learnt a lot of new things which made me realise that despite the fact that Singapore is a small island, there are still so many exciting places to explore and learn from!

Being in a multi racial and multi religious society, it is important for us to be aware of the customs and culture of other races, so that we learn to appreciate and respect one another.

Here are the pics from today - I did it more like an album , to capture our moments together :)

Well, I hope all of you enjoyed the trip as well as the pictures over here!

Why don't you use this as an opportunity to ask your parents/grandparents to share their childhood stories with you? I bet you will have an interesting time hearing your family talk about their favourite childhood toys, etc.

Do share the stories you hear in this post! The crew and your captain look forward to reading them!

Love,
Ms Priya :)

  7. Lawrence : My grandfather witnessed WW2 when he was barely seven. Each family had to register very early in the morning for sweet potatoes rationing. The noodles were mixed with red oil and the onions were picked from their tiny garden. Life was very hard then.
