Dear 3B,
today we spoke about innovations during our Form Teacher Guidance Period (FTGP).
While most of you are very familiar with names such as Bill Gates, Thomas Alva Edison and Steve Jobs, you drew a blank when names such as Sim Wong Hoo were mentioned!
Indeed, it's good to know famous inventors/innovators around the globe but we should also recognise our homegrown innovations!
Sim Wong Hoo is the founder of Creative Technology, Singapore's homegrown music devices company.

Chindogu (Quirky Japanese inventions)
Chindōgu (珍道具 ) is the Japanese art of inventing ingenious everyday gadgets that, on the face of it, seem like an ideal solution to a particular problem. However, chindōgu has a distinctive feature: anyone actually attempting to use one of these inventions would find that it causes so many new problems, or such significant social embarrassment, that effectively it has no utility whatsoever. Thus, chindōgu are sometimes described as "unuseless" – that is, they cannot be regarded as "useless" in an absolute sense, since they do actually solve a problem; however, in practical terms, they cannot positively be called "useful".

Whao! i found out that a bee can only sting one time and after that sting it will die and the wasp can sting its enemy several times and the abdomen of the wasp are smaller than the bees and bees are actually carnivorous and they eat the larva of the wasp as food
ReplyDeleteQuestion how to treat bee sting ?
ReplyDeleteAnswer unlike wasp , a bee sting will remain in the flesh, continually pumping venom. Don't pluck it out with your hands; this will just end up squeezing more venom in! Instead , use the edge of a credit card or some other thin flat surface to scrape the sting away. After it is out, clean and wash the sting before going to the doctor. That said if the victim might be suffering from a shortness of breath , just scarape the sting out and go to the doctor Immediately; the victim is suffering from an allergic reaction , and said reaction might even prove fatal! Sure , it might turn out to be not so bad , but you really should not take changes.
ReplyDeleteFInally XANDER ANG ZHENG YAO posted 3 comments if not I almost need to ask why people are not posting anything. Thanks alot Xnder Ang Zheng Yaofor saving my energy.:)

CARNIVOROUS PLANT TRAPS
ReplyDelete1. Flypaper trap
- The sides of the plants leaves or other such organs release a special glue , which serves to digest the very insects it attracts .sundew are one of the most infamous examples
2. Pitfall trap
- these plants have a sweet smelling digestive liquid at the bottom of a long slippery tube .insect can go in but can't climb out and are drown as they are slowly digested
3. Bladder traps
- reserved for under water plants , this plant actually vacuums prey into a digestive sac . Such plant includes the utriclaria Gibba and the utriclaria Aurea
4. Snapping trap
- The Venus flytrap favourite trick.S uh plants have sensory hairs at the edges of their leafy traps that quickly shut upon detecting an insects.this trapping action normally takes 5-30 seconds

Do you know most material have the ability to release heat, without the need for another medium to spread it .this is called thermal radiation.
ReplyDeleteThe earth has been absorbing the sun heat since it was formed 5 billon years agarose. Each day, this causes the temperature of half the planet will rise .that said, the earth does not absorb all the heat ;30%is reflected by our atmosphere ,which absorb another 20%itself the other 50% is being absorb by earth . Counting the heat in the earth and atmosphere ,that leaves 70% of the suns heat to be sent off gradually .as heat is absorbed and release ,the earth reaches a balance point ;we call this thermal balance
Radiation from the earth is released in what we call infrared radiation .During this process, gases like water vapour ,carbon dioxide ,nitrous oxide and methane will absorb infrared radiation to stabilise the atmostphere's temperature . Unfortunely, a buildup of such gases ( THANKS TO THE ACTIVITES OF THE MAN)is causing what what we call green house effect, and this could raise Earth's temperature to dangerous level
AND FOR THE IMFORMATION
THE FIRST COUNTRY TO BE SUBMERGED WILL BE TUVALU AS IT IS MADE OF CORAL REEFS AND THE GREEN HOUSE EFFECT MAY CAUSE THE CORAL REEFS PRODUCTION TO BE SLOW WHEREAS IT WILL DIE CAUSING IT TO BE THE FIRST COUNTRY TO BE SUBMERGED)
CYA I OFF
